This position calls for an applicant that is equally skilled at editing and writing and creating a wide range of article ideas under tight timelines. Organization skills are a must, as well as the ability to work well independently and with internal teams and stakeholders.
 
The Editor, Branded Content is responsible for conceptualizing, assigning, editing/writing, and publishing all of the branded content developed through the HuffPost Canada. This includes traditional articles, listicles, GIF lists, video scripts, and infographics. The Editor, Branded Content develops article ideas and strategy based on client needs and messaging, and is responsible for the assigning, intake and editing of this content adhering to the guidelines of the publisher. The editor will be required to work directly with client and have the ability to present creative concepts to internal and external stakeholders.  Many campaigns run concurrently so the ability to manage many deliverables is required.
 
  • Manage a team of freelancers and their assignment deadlines
  • Quickly and comprehensively edit article drafts under strict deadlines
  • Ideate article ideas and content strategy, communicate strategy to internal teams and clients
  • Review RFP’s and help craft content strategy specific to brand
  • Monitor the performance of each content piece to ensure they meet pre-determined benchmarks.
  • Ensure content is brand safe and up to the standards of The Huffington Post and it’s approach to branded content
  • Copy edit sales materials
  • Communicate ideas clearly with clients and team members
  • Organize and keep track of multiple projects and their deliverables
  • Layout and publish articles using HuffPost’s proprietary CMS
