Partner Solutions Engineer

About the Position: Partner Solutions Engineers are the primary technical resource for the partner team. You would be responsible for actively driving and managing all technical aspects of the ISV partnership process, working in conjunction with the ISV manager and larger partner team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products. The Partner Solutions Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. Must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer and partner satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

● Drive progress towards successful sales, working alongside Account Executives 
● Own the technical sales process from introductory meetings and demos to proofs of concepts and customer success hand-off 
● Convey customer requirements to Product Management teams 
● Travel throughout the world 
In this role, you will: 
● Build strong relationships throughout the sales cycle with our customer's and partners technical staff 
● Collaborate across StreamSets departments to develop approaches and campaigns to support selling in your region 
● Articulate product positioning and competitive differentiation to both business and technical users ranging from individual contributes to VPs to C-level executives 
● Execute demonstrations and proofs of concept 
● Travel up to 50%. 
And You: Are self-motivated with a proven track record in software sales and knowledge of technology. You are comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports. You are able to get into the weeds and build credibility in front of rooms of data engineers. You are organized and analytical, and able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches. 
● 5+ years of relevant experience in enterprise software technical sales 
● Previous startup experience 
● Prior experience in building solutions with Hadoop, Spark, Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, et al) 
● Strong Linux experience with a focus on ETL, cloud data integration, analytics applications, and big data 
● A B.S. in Computer Science or a related field is strongly preferred 
● Experience programming/scripting with Java, Perl, Python, Unix Shell scripts is a plus
