DevOps Engineer (Linux)
Palo Alto, CA · Information TechnologyTal-Ex is partnering with a media services organization to identify (2) DevOps Engineers for contract to hire roles located in San Mateo, California.
As a key DevOps software engineer on our client's Technical Infrastructure and Operations team, you will help lead our efforts to develop new features for and scale out our fast growing production infrastructure.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
*Development of new applications and tools to automate key portions of our production infrastructure
*Development of solutions for the automation of system provisioning and deployment
*Research and implementation of new monitoring systems
*Develop and deploy new tools for the automation of configuration management processes
*Build internal tools for centralized infrastructure management
*Development of solutions for the automation of system provisioning and deployment

Qualifications:
*2+ years of hands-on DevOps experience
*BS/MS in Computer Science or EE
*Interest in working as a key internal developer in our large-scale production environment
*Solid understanding of Linux network stack, DNS, TCP/IP and switching
*Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Salt or Chef)
*Strong scripting skills in Bash, Ruby or Python
*Interest in or knowledge of server virtualization solutions
*Experience with Git
*Strong database administration experience
*Experience working with Amazon Web Services
*BS/MS in Computer Science or EE
