Tal-Ex is partnering with a non-profit organization in Washington, DC to identify a Senior Java Developer.  This is a contract role with the potential to become a permanent employee.  

The Senior Developer will be analyzing, designing, developing, and integrating multiple applications across multiple technologies and architectures involving various Web Server and application server technologies.  This person will oversee business and technical designs for new applications and support existing applications based on business unit requirements involving integrations of our client's various technical systems and platforms.  Candidate will also participate in troubleshooting and fixing major system problems in core applications.  Candidate will also provide leadership on the team and mentoring of less tenured developers.  

Required Experience:

• 5+ Years of Java development and design experience
• Experience with various frameworks - J2EE, STRUTS, Spring, Hibernate
• Experience in JBoss and other web server and application server technologies
• Strong understanding of Oracle database tuning and performance issues with applications
• Strong leadership skills
• Experience in REST & JSON
