Senior Director of Technology Support

Tal-Ex is partnering with a law firm to identify a Senior Director of Technology Support.  This is a direct hire position located in Washington, DC.  The Senior Director of Technology Support directs the user support and training functions for the Information Technology (IT) practice group. This position analyzes feedback from attorney and staff leadership and provides strategic recommendations for system and process enhancements.
 
As the Senior Director of Technology Support, you will:
 
•Manage the IT support services and training functions and staff members, including recruiting, mentoring and monitoring workflow productivity and performance
•Solicit and analyze feedback from attorneys and staff regarding IT service initiatives and identify opportunities to innovate and enhance technology support solutions
•Collaborate with Firm leadership regarding strategic planning and implementations for technology support and training across various practice support systems and ensure alignment with the Firm’s strategic vision
•Establish and implement Firm-wide standard operating procedures to maximize technology performance and stability; provide technical support for peer administrators for the development and operations of their technical applications.
•Ensure 24/7 worldwide support for all IT service functional areas, including all end-user applications, infrastructure and devices
•Oversee the development and implementation of technology-related training programs designed to improve performance, use and effectiveness by the Firm’s attorneys and staff
•Manage the IT support services and training budgets, including preparing cost/benefit analysis, establishing operating and personnel budgets and monitoring expenses
•Research technology developments and recommend solutions to upgrade and improve current technology support services
 
Job Requirements: 
•Bachelor’s degree
•At least seven (7) years of related work experience
•Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)
•Advanced knowledge of broad range of technology platforms, systems and tools
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Strong organizational skills
•Strong motivational and leadership skills
•Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
•Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
•Ability to travel and work flexible and/or fluctuating work hours
•Ability to make proactive recommendations around technology and process
